Oh wow! I just stumbled across this while googling....
That picture sure brings back memories!
Though I do play bass and guitar, I'm primarily a keyboard player... and as a teenager in 1971, when the first 'proper' band I'd joined,
Rashamra, started getting lots of work, I was able to afford to buy an
Imperator to use with my
Hohner electric piano here in Adelaide, Australia. I continued using it through the 70's and 80's, lugging it around Australia through punk bands and beyond - it was an awesome and really reliable old amp. Unfortunately when I split with my first wife in the early 90's, I got the kids and she got nearly everything else [I still know I got the best deal!!

] including most of my equipment - including the Dynachord.
I've got a couple of differing sized
Hartke and
Laney amps for bass & keys now, but NOTHING beats that old
Imperator! It had so much grunt!
Thank you so much for that picture! I'd love to see if I can find one again, but I daresay they're probably too 'collectible' and expensive now...
btw... this is a cool forum - I'll have to put the bassist I usually play with these days onto you folks - she's a producer on the ABC and community radio, and switched from guitar to bass a few years ago and is right into the tech aspects.
Cheers
