EA iAmp Pro 1200

I am excited about my new rig. I did a search of the forum before buying this gear for opinions, but could not find much. (I am new to TB, so maybe I am not searching properly...)

Anyway, I would still be curious as to anyone's experience with this equipment, and I will also let you know how it works out for me.

The setup is an EA iAmp Pro 1200 and two Bergantino AE212's. Played it with my Dingwall AB2 5-string over the weekend in a 10,000sf room (using only one of the Bergantino's) and it sounded awesome to me, and others. The B-string sounds like it is holding up the world...

Whew... that must be some rig. So, the EA is running at 2ohms, putting out about 600 watts into each AE212. I can just feel that.

I'd be curious about the low end response ( found that a bit much on the EA iAmp). That was one of the things I could never quite come to terms with when I had my iAmp800 (which I assume is voiced the same)... that very low hi pass filter (or whatever is used to control the low end). I bet those cones were pistoning like crazy! Nothing wrong with that.

Nice rig... put up a picture if you can.

Welcome to TB. I love the AE212... a lot!

Heck of a rig there Dude!
Search for iamp on user peterpalmieri.

Sorry, I was in a rush when I posted that previous one.

I'd love to hear that rig; I'm thinking that would be very close to my dream rig, but I'd probably only use both cabs for outdoor festivals (we don't really do a lot of high-volume venues).

Thanks guys for the feedback! I will let you know how this all works out.

Ken, I really enjoyed your Youtube clips, they helped point me to the AE 212's. Great comments and evaluation.

Here's the main iAmp Pro thread that I found:

*** EA iAMP Pro *** GOTTA SEE THIS!!!

You could add your thoughts too once you have some gig-time with it.
