Any body have any input on how these two amps compare?Although I am greatly more interested in the 9.0 Shuttle Max when it may be out but wanting opinions on how they may compare if you have had or tried both.I will be using with Berg AE212 or a Berg AE410.

Hey man

I owned the Shuttle 9 for a bit and have a EA micro currently, which I will be probably swapping out for a Pro.

I found the following (using a berg AE212 or epi UL410 for my cabs and LEJ for my main bass):

GB - much warmer tone, cut through a mix nicely but I couldn't get a very clean sound as I have a very hot bass. There is some discussion on this elsewhere on TB, but many, many folks love that tone.

EA - cuts through equally well, but noticeably cleaner. Trade-off is can't get much grit at all without a pedal. Cuts through equally well, the Micro a bit low on volume for me but i think the Pro would be a monster.

For me (I play a lot of different styles and like a pretty "hi-fi" tone, also I don't mind effects) the EA, for many others who want more grit the GB.

Hope this helps.

I've been eyeballing several new amps lately, and keep wondering whether I might be happiest if I stick with EA and upgrade from an iAmp800 to an iAmp Pro.

If any of you can compare of the 800 and Pro, I'll be grateful. Sorry for the hijack.
