EA Wizzy 10 + fEARful Sub

What do you think of that idea? The Wizzy 10 by itself is plenty loud for me and has plenty of mids but I would like more bottom. This would be strictly for EB no need for upright. Also, how does the fEARful sub work? It apparently has a crossover. Do you run the amp into the sub and then have the crossover send the mids and highs to the Wizzy?

The sub has a low pass filter, which is basically 1/2 the crossover. You could implement the full fearful crossover and send approx 800 on up to the EA. That might sound OK. At least it would be easy and if you have a decent ear, you can probably get prey close with EQ after that. Better would be to do like PA and use an active crossover and a power amp.

I've dinked aboit doing what you're talking about at home. Mojo sonic 1x10 on top of a fEarful 12 sub. Driven with my GK micro. It takes some listening and some EQ to get it reasonable - not something I would ever mess with for gigging though. Frankly the cot of a 12.6 isn't much more than cost of the 12 sub, for another $100 you get one hell of a good 1 cab solution... I use my 1x10 as a monitor, doing acoustic support work mostly. My 12.6 gets most of the loud stuff.

I use a pair of fearful 12 sub's in my PA. I cross into them around 100 and they seriously kick some tail. I love 'em under my K10's.
