Just saw a really sweet early 70's svt and 8x10 cab at corner music in Nashville yesterday. I wish I had a studio,I would totally buy it. |

Originally Posted by Ray Salamon In all actuality, the studio is the very last place a rig like that should be. | i don't believe i agree with that. i've recorded with one quite a few times before i got my b-15n and always loved the sound. now if you're looking for power tube distortion in the studio, maybe it's not the best idea, but only because the volume will be unbearable in a closed-in studio. but for clean sounds it rocks.

Really big bux high block rate studios can usually record better with huge rigs than smaller, cheaper studios can. They cater to dealing with the kind of people who are into the whole "excess is never enough when you are big, really big, baby" thing.
Smart money is on smaller less powerful rigs for recording, or taking things to unique recording environments and using mobile facilities. Not necessarily big vans, just racks of equipment and the right desk. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
