"Earth" amp

Played a benefit for American Cancer Society last night and they supplied the back line. The bass rig was supposed to be an SVT...

When I got there, here stands this ANCIENT 'Earth' amp with a tuck and roll 2-15 speaker cab. I was thinking I hope this old geez survives the show....

I was actually pretty happy with it. It apparently is a knock-off of a Peavey rig (which I played for years) and sounded pretty good for an elderly solid state amp. I was expecting mud city and actually got some really crisp mids with a fairly nice amount of growl.

I talked to the (female) owner after the show and she tells me she bought it at a flea market.....

Anyway, it was much better than expected.

I used to own an Earth G 2000 & matching 3X15 that I used as a double duty guitar / bass rig. It had that fantastic Fender tube tone. It had it's original vintage tubes and all. Paid roughly $100.00 for it. It was glittery turquoise Tuck N' Roll. I loved that thing but foolishly sold it...
