Some of their amps were direct knockoffs of Peavey equipment of the '70s. Fender, too.

Here's a little info.

No sir. I've never even seen any. However, I did use Peavey gear in the late '70s and early '80s. Same thing with higher-quality components.

I've got one of the ESR 2x15 peavey copies sitting empty in my garage. Someday I'll put some speakers in it, and/or put it up on CL. Visually it's a VERY close copy, but peavey must have had a copyright on the weight because ESR made sure to make their cab much heavier so they could not be accused of directly competing with Peavey. What's heavier than Heavey? ESR!

Luckie, yours is one of the relatively earlier models.

I had an Earth G-2000 in the blue plush with matching 2x15. It sounded beautiful. It brought chime in guitars that don't chime! My MIM Strat became a Ric! I only wish I had kept it and tried my Ric in it...

Here's a little info.
Early Earth amps were just a continuation of the Plush company. The first ones had tuck and roll just like the Plush amps. Then shortly after they made the same amp tube amp without tuck and roll, just like the one pictured in this thread. Eventually they went to solid state. Their solid state amps were a rip off of Peavey amps.

In my opinion, after seeing quite a few Plush and Earth amps, the Plush were better quality. When the one partner started Earth, he did everything possible to cut cost. It's obvious in the workmanship and materials used in the circuitry.

If you can get your hands on either the Plush or Earth tube amps they are super cool and sound incredible after some work recapping and replacing the old carbon comp resistors. I'm super happy with my Plush 1060s which is the same as the Earth Super Bass.

I have an ESR 2x15. Sounds great and is easy to move around. I have no plans of getting rid of it any time soon.

I formerly owned a G2000 covered with sparkly blue tuck and roll. It sounded pretty much dead on a Fender amp to me. Very nice, but it's long gone.

Earth was the Behringer of days gone by.

I've never owned any ESR gear, but saw enough of it back in the '70's. I do currently own a Plush 1060 (and played my first gig on one, almost 40 years ago).

Super Bass B2000

I have an old bass head that sounds warm and lovely. Thinking of selling it, as my SVT is giving me more of the tone I like for bass, but this thing is perfect for guitar or my Rhodes.

It's listed in the classifieds section if anyone is interested, but unless the price is right, I'm hanging on to this gem.
