Question Easiest way to use headphones with my amplifier

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm trying to figure out a way to use a set of decent headphones with my Aguilar AG500S amp. Right now I'm thinking a Yamaha MG102C mixer I've been eyeing might do the trick. It's a very compact inexpensive deal but it sounds good.

So I would connect the DI from my amp via XLR cable to a mono channel of the mixer, and then plug the phones into that. Am I missing anything? Does anyone use that mixer?

That's exactly what you could do. I use that mixer all the time. I've got one at my bands practice space that I use as a "more me" monitor. We're all miced up and use headphones anyways.

I also have one at home. I've got a DI going into a track, metronome into another track, and my ipod in another. I can mix everything together and it sounds great!

Cool!

What kind of metronome are you using?
