An easy cabinet stand project!

Sign in to disble this ad
I have used a chrome waiter stand to elevate and amp or cabinet for years. (I would also like a chrome luggage stand)

or...
Sometimes I use a bigger/taller rig!

But...
I configured this set up a couple of weeks ago. I made a metal mounting plate, tapped it for 1/4-20 screws and screwed it to the bottom of desired speaker cab.

Mounted a PA stand adapter with 1/4 20 screws( it is removable) to the tapped mounting plate. Placed cab on a PA stand.

Ear level, use alone or with an exisiting rig as an extension cab.

I love it! I use for DB as well.

Use with or without head on top.

Looks very nice and professional

This is cool. More pics of mount on the cabs please?

Can you use the cabinet without a mount anymore?

Nice idea.

What about these (assuming sufficient internal space to mount):

That way the cab could sit flat on the bottom when not pole mounted.

^That would work, and I cosidered it too. But did not want to drill that big of a hole in my MarkBass cab. I couldn't find the pic of the one I used, It came from MF. But it is designed to screw on the bottom of the cab....
so...
I made a flat metal mounting plate to be attached to the cab first, then screwed the speaker adapter to the plate.

The adapter is removable so the cab can be used normally.

I'm sure your above adapter will work though!

Adding an extra "port" on the cab probably would not be a good thing.
