The Gorm is good too but it is insanely heavy. The Drome has a good balance.

I have had the blue drome for 15 years.....and it's never failed to deliver.... It has quality running through it like stick of rock .....the preamp section is great for delivering di in the studio... And it's a carry along combo to whatever small gig ......I also can't think why they discontinued it. I'll never sell it .....

The Bass Exchange in LA has a new one sitting in their amp room. They list it for $1575.99.

They're amazing little amps, and if someone stole mine I'd try desperately to find another, but that's a bit steep, considering that I can buy a 250W EBS Reidmar microhead and an EBS Neo112 cabinet for about $1250. The Drome is less powerful that that rig, but also smaller, and with a few more features (audio in, phones out, etc.), so I can dimly imagine paying about the same for a new one. But I've recently seen used Dromes listed on used.guitarcenter.com for about $500.

That's a great price considering its EBS quality. There are a lot of micro amps flooding the market these days but this combo is built for the long haul.
