Someone I know is selling all their bass gear. I'm interested in the amp he's selling. I don't know anything about EBS gear but I'm after a super-portable rig that can cater for pretty much anything. I've had a quick skim over them, and they seem pretty good. The cab seems heavy though; I'm after something a LOT lighter than 90lbs.

Not sure how much he's selling it for yet but some advice/comments from people with experience of these would be good!

I had the HD350 for over 2 years. Great Amp! (Made in 2007). Needed a VT Bass in front of it to get that more vintage sound. Good Compressor. Early 2001-2003 models had some preamp issues, but I never had a problem with mine and it would do 2-Ohms.

I can't help you on the cab. Check out Will Karling on youtube.com. I have seen the HD350 going around 650-750 used in the USA.

Just found a couple of videos of the HD350. One with a Stingray (my main bass); nice tones! If I can get a decent price off him I might buy it.

That's a super nice sounding setup. I've played it. The head is loud, not too heavy and sounds great. The cabinet seems heavy so take that into consideration.

Yeah, I'm really not after a heavy cab. He's sold it now anyway but that wasn't really the part of the rig I was interested in

The cabs come down to personal preferance, but I think the proline is a great sounding cab even though it is rather heavy.

As for the head, I would say it is one of the most reputable heads around, in fact many of the ebs endorsed artists tend to choose that head over the company's bigger more expensive heads purely because it sounds so good! if you like a clean modern sound you definitely can't go wrong with that amp
