Eden 115XLT speaker buzz

Sign in to disble this ad
The 15" speaker for my Eden 115XLT will buzz when mounted in the cabinet. Out of the cabinet, it plays/works fine. Tested it with a 9 volt, and the cone seems to move in and out freely. Also pushed on it and theres no glitches. I did notice when I hold the speaker like a steering wheel and rotate quickly, there is some kind of shifting going on inside the sealed mechanism. I can't see a way of checking inside there...

Take the speaker to a speaker company in your area and ask them to check it out.

I had, at one time, a ten that exhibited similar symptoms. The speaker guy took off the dome and found a blob of excess glue had broken off and was rattling around inside. Once a new dome was attached the driver was good to go.
