Eden 410T Cab

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, I'm in the market for another cab and I've read some good things about Eden. There is a guy locally posting a used Eden 410 Cab for sale on craigslist and I'm wondering if this is a good deal or not?

Thanks for any input

Seems like a good deal. They're going for 350 around here. Great cab just heavy.

For that age and its' use I would be pretty sure that the speakers will need reconing.
Look for cone creasing and any distortion with loud and low notes.
Good price if it is in Great working condition.

The 410T is NOT the more common (and generally more highly regarded) 410XLT. The "XL" means "extended low" and the XLT is the one people either love or hate. The few times I've used a 410T (and a 115T) instead of my usual D410XLT and D212XLT cabs, they weren't remarkable at all. Not much different than any other decent 4x10, a step up perhaps from the Hartke Transporters and perhaps the Crate et. al.

Play it, push it, make sure the drivers all work well and aren't creased, plug into all the jacks, put your ear against the tweeter and play with the tweeter control to make sure everything works.

Never played one but I know Uriah Duffy has said it's his favorite cab ever

I searched for years to get two of 'em to build my dream rig. It's the most evenly balanced sounding cabinet Eden ever produced IMO.

Some people get hung up on the published specs and dis' this model as not having enough low end. I have never felt anything was lacking with my D410T, and I have owned (and later sold) a variety of Eden cabinets in the past - D115T, D410XLT, D210XLT, D210XST, D212XLT.

Tonewise, the T series is not as smooth in the mids as the XST line and not nearly as agressive sounding as an XLT.

It's a classic 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' scenario -
XLT - too agressive
XST - too smooth
T - just right!

Long story short - try it out, you just might be pleasantly surprised!

Cheers,

had one for 10 years. you can get plenty of lows from these cabs, just the XLT
version is a step louder. tone is actually good, just not the loudest 410.

most are 8ohm cabs. mine sounded very good, but paired with a 1x15, it
sounded like $hit. they just didn't work well together. got loud though. loud $hit.

wished mine was 4ohm, i woulda kept it. i sold it when i got the svt &
got a 4ohm box thats loud. done

yes, back when you can actually believe in the spec
btw, my favorite Eden cab

sold my 410T's to get the 410xlt and the xst
couldn't sell the 410xlt and xst fast enough
then I got a Goliath 1 which is almost identical to the 410T

still have the G1
now I am looking for another G1 or 410T

Yes- My 14 yr old 410T is Amazing! I gotta say, I've replaced the speakers though... with Tone Tubby Super Boys. This cab will whoop a stock 4x10XLT ANY day of the week (and fits in the front seat of a 2-door car)! I like the Eden speakers, but MAN! Those Tubbys! My main rig was 3, 6x10xlt cabs, 2 of em had tubby's loaded. But yeah- that 410T is a beast. I think it's the round port on the back, and the nice physical depth of the cab...

Eden makes great gear. If the speakers are in good shape, I would go for it.
