EDEN E410XST + Head Suggestions

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi there

Has anyone tried out the EDEN E410XST (It's E series lighter weight and made overseas)? Could you give me a bit of feedback on them? How do they compare to the D810XT. Can't try them anywhere near here and it would be good to know what I'm getting into before ordering. I'm thinking E because i can get 4 sets if i want for the same price as 2 d4x10s and I don't really need much more than 2 4x10s for now. i can, in the end, afford either the D8x10 or the E4x10s, but I'd rather pay less for now.

Looking at getting the WTB1000, if that helps make a proper suggestion.

From what I've heard, the XST line has deep low end and nice highs, more of a flat/scooped type of sound, where as the XLT designs have a mid bump sort of tone, so they will seem louder in the mix but won't go as deep in the lows.

Not sure which type of design the D810XT is?

The D810XT is half and half.... a D410XST on the bottom with an D410XLT on top.
I run a D210XLT thru a Trace Elliot GP12smx head.
Killer combination.

Anything Eden is going to sound better than 90% of what's out there, especially live. I prefer the XLT for most anything. They sound great with a band. Some cabs sound better by themselves but the true test is how they perform in a real live music environment.

My Warwick sounds great without any Eq-ing whatsoever all the time. I just take a little tone off the top if it gets too bright. True lows re-inforcement seems like the way to go, and I go down to Drop-D in songs.

E410XST8 and E410XST4
I can't find any reviews and barely any mention of them. Just the units flying around sparsely. How can it be that no one's given these a whirl?

It's being phased out in 2011 with the 410Xst x2, instead of having the xlt on there. lower frequency response this way, i assume. and the xlt colors with a midrange jump, whereas the xst doesn't. they probably need a flagship clear 8x10 to stay competitive.

You could discuss it with the store owner before you order. Most will agree that if it comes in and you don't like it, you don't have to buy it.

the goliath models from SWR were recommended but the freq response is only 40, i need it to go clear a bit lower than that.

Unfortunately the guy at Steve's Music, here in downtown Toronto, told me that if i ordered one I couldn't return it if i don't like it The Long and McQuade's here, however said
that if I buy stuff cash in hand I can return in 30 days, if I finance I get 3 days to test it out and still have full money back. Unfortunatelythey no longer carry Eden stuff.
