Eden EX210N .... anybody played through one?

Looking to get a 210 with a smaller footprint than my Tri-115 ... I was looking at an EA 210... I liked the power handling and the weight... but I came across a EX210 here that unfortunately came and went before I even saw it.. but I liked the pricepoint and the specs.... 500W, 35lbs, 33-14K .... so I got curious.

I would be playing it through a SL900 in smaller settings like chapels and practice spaces.. Has anyone played through one of these? One of the other bass players at my church has an Eden head.. I forgot which one but it is old.. all tube..it has been around the world with this guy I think he said he got it like.. 20 years ago.. .. and he has a 210 but it is the old heavy beast.... the one I am looking at is a NEO. There is one other cab I am looking at that meets my criteria but it costs almost twice as much... What's the story on Eden cabs when used with other heads... I have heard lots of good stuff about Eden but I am just in familiar.. I liked what I heard though when I played through my buddy's head ... I was surprised at what I was getting out of a 210. Opinions please from those who know..

Eden EX210N 8

I had four Nemesis by Eden N210RS cabs and liked them, until two of them were stolen. That model was discontinued, so I replaced them with two EX210N cabs. Glad I did. Very slightly smaller, MUCH lighter, very slightly less loud at a given setting (I did a direct A/B listening test with them against my two remaining N210RS cabs), but I like their their sound a little better if anything (though the difference in sound is not very much.) At 59, my back has finally started to go, but these things are almost feather-weight. I use one GK MB500 into two EX210Ns, am playing in a pretty loud blues-rock band, and have no sense that I'm pushing the rig at all. I use two GK MB500s and all four cabs for outdoors (or huge stages) and I it's PLENTY. One MB 500 into just one EX210N is more than enough for rehearsal with the same loud band in the garage.

That is good to know because I just bought one brand new at a decent price. Still have not picked t up. Bringing it home today. I wanted something with a smaller footprint that was lightweight and could handle 500W @ 8 ohms.. Initially I am going to try it with my Tri115 (yup I have read all the threads about cab matching.. TYVM..')) and also with my B212 and depending on what it sounds like I may just let one of them go and get another one.. or of it sounds good just have the 3 cabs and use them as needed. The B212 I basically leave at church anyway. I was surprised that new in the box they come with casters.. This is the first new cab I have ever bought.

I'll post my thoughts on it over the weekend.

I got this cab about two weeks ago.. I got it from Best Buy believe it or not.. and it was only $349.. Anyway .. I got the cab and I didn't get to play through it for a few days.. but when I finally got to crank it up.. it buzzed like crazy.. It was almost like something was shorted in the cab.. I tried another bass (3 others in fact..) , swapped out cables etc and finally came to the conclusion that it was the cab ... so I sent it back.

I do think however that I am more of a 12/15 kind of guy.. I like the meatier tone of the 12s & 15s ... so what I may do is just grab a 112 from somewhere and use that as my lighter cab.. but for now I will just keep using my 115 and my 212...

ditto, the low end isn't there on this cab for louder practice situations. but it is LIGHT as a feather so....

I'd like to bump this thread for any more input on these cabs.

I wonder how one would compare to my workingmans 410t. And also adding a second later.

What's the scoop?
