Hi guys,
I'm looking to buy a new amp. These two look promising:
Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0
Eden WTX500
The Eden is a lot cheaper than the Genz Benz, but it is also a lot quieter. I play anything from funk to metal, and play in drop-C tuning.
Any recommendations?
Cheers guys |

However, I personally enjoy the Eden tone more.

GB heads have very good tone and a complete feature set. Add to that the fact they are overbuilt and have great customer service.
It's an easy decision to me. |

I called Genz one time with a tech question and The man himself answered my question. That went a long way with me.

The Genz is louder, fuller, waaaaaaaaay better customer service, waaaaaay better product reliability! And they will be there tomorrow. If you have a question ask here and either a genz benz Engineer or product specialist or user will try to help you out...
Just my .02
Shuttle 9 kills.. its my next to main amp.. the Shuttle Max12 is my main amp...

Getting the picture yet?
Also, one of my favorite local dealers is about to drop the Eden line due to the bad rep the company has gotten in recent years. |

Cheers guys | Did you mention what kind of cab(s) you're using? How about volume requirements? How loud do you play?
It seems to me these would be important factors to consider, no?

My rig consists of a Shuttle 9.0 and two NeoX-112T cabs. I could not be happier tonewise and I know that in the unlikely event there is an issue with any of these items I'll be well taken care of. Peace of mind alone is worth the extra $$$ for the Genz gear. Then once you factor in everything else it's a "no brainer".

The shuttle 9 is lightweight enough to and just about loud enough to do any gig.. And guess what? it has a volume control so if its too loud you can turn it down too!.
Its small enough to fit in a gig bag. Quote:

I've tried both the Genz 9.0 and the Eden WTX500, and I'd take the Genz over the Eden. But I also love (and finally own one of) the Eden WT heads. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
