Question Eden Nemesis 650 Ampeg 4x10 VOLUME ISSUES

Sign in to disble this ad
Whats happenin? Here is my problem: My rig is an Eden Nemisis 650 Head and an Ampeg Classic 4x10 un ported cab.
With my gain knob at 12 o'clock and my volume at around 1 o'clock I DONT GET ENOUGH VOLUME! If i take the gain any higher it clips constantly, if i take the volume any higher i might blow the thing up. It sounds rediculous but I play jazz and latin stuff and some funk but usually all my gigs are small group performances. Its not like I need a bunch of volume to get results but the volume i do have is insufficient. HELP ME PLEASE!!! WHAT CAN I DO?

It's the sealed cab that's the problem here. I'm sure for you to carry another 410 for a not so loud gig may seem pretty pointless. You'll be better off with a ported 410..I learnt the hard way too after the hydrive happened to me...

Go ported..

Another 410he gets you 3dB, and cranking the amp to full power with the 4 ohm load gets you another 3dB. That adds up to a considerable volume boost. OR, dump the he and get an hlf. That would get you the 3dB from the 4 ohms, and tons more low end from the ported 410.
