They're essentially Eden's budget line. A friend of mine plays through that same 410 combo. I have a rehearsal at his house and have used it a few times over the last couple months. Good tone and feature set with plenty of power to handle most situations. Awkward and heavy to move, and according to my friend, rather prone to breaking down.

I played one several years ago in a shop and was amazed. When it came time to replace my amp, I bought a Nemesis RS400 to hook up to my Hartke 410 and I am really happy with it. The distortion circuit might as well not be there, but I don't use it anyway. The RS400 is very similar to the amp in your combo. Don't know about the breaking down thing, mine's been good for a year now.

I owned the NS115 combo for awhile and thought it was great. I recommended it to a good friend who has used it for at least 500+ gigs without an issue.

Edens budget line from a few years ago, but that doesn't mean there bad. I've read pretty much nothing but good things about them.

What price did you get it for?

If the handles were in a better place I would be keeping mine, as it stands it sits right where my back tweaks when I carry it.

I've owned 2 Eden NA320's in the past and still have the first one... #2 was a backup. The only other amp I use regularly is an Eden WTX500. Warm sound, punchy, and very reliable. They are getting hard to find anymore because folks know they sound GREAT and are holding on to them. In fact, some folks prefer the Nemesis line over the regular Eden stuff. No issues with shutdowns, quirks, or other reliability issues. If you're causing amps to break down, you need more power for headroom or need to use your gear within realistic limits and stop abusing it. YMMV.

I've had a Nemesis 2x10 (NC210) combo since July 1998. It was my primary amp for over 11 years and I still use it for about 30% of my gigs. It has never failed or given me any problem whatsoever. Reliability after 12 1/2 years - 100%. Its a great amp which I will never sell.

The model you own is the RS410, discontinued a couple years ago, IIRC. I owned the first-generation version - the NC410: 200 watts @ 4 ohms; same speaker model & configuration; same great preamp features, etc. I purchased mine new in early 1997 and played it continuously until I sold it off about a year ago. A nice amp - and a real sleeper among bass combo amps.

About four years ago, I picked up one of its smaller siblings: the NC210 (also built in 1996 - the year Nemesis was launched). IMHO, the NC210/RS210 is even a little nicer than the 4x10 version: not as loud (obviously), but it goes a bit deeper - and still puts out plenty of SPL for its size. Has all those great preamp features. And the tone is pure Eden: warm, deep and full.

An ideal amp for personal practice, low-volume rehearsal, small-venue gigging, and recording. Mine isn't going anywhere...
