The only way you get the 750 watts is when you are at 2 ohms. Either you need 4 cabs at 8 ohms, 2 cabs at 4 ohms or the one at 2 ohms. I believe the 610 cab is rated at 6 ohms so you won't even be getting the 550 watts with one 610 cab.

Eden D Series Cabinets - D610XST

Since that looks like a 6ohm load, no, doesn't look like it...

thanks guys...so which eden head would put out at least 500 watts through this cab?! or any other great heads that would match up? and say i do decide to go with the wt550 head. It would be putting out 300watts correct? My band plays some pretty large venues. think that would do the trick? cheers!

The head puts out 300 watts into 8 ohms, and 550 into 4 ohms, so a six-ohm cab would draw somewhat more than 400 watts.

Eden WT-800B/C bridged mode (not the older A version. only will do 8 ohms bridged). That will give 1100 watts into 4 ohms. Conservatively should give you at least 700 watts into 6 ohms.

EDIT: sorry it's late. more like 950 watts or so

David Nordschow, founder of Eden, OK'ed running the WT800 A version bridged into the 610XLT at 6 ohms, back when he was still with Eden. This was discussed several years ago in the Eden Forum. Apparently the power amps in the WT800A can safely handle a 2.67 ohm load, but not a 2 ohm load.

You'll be fine impedance/power handling wise. Just wanted to point out again though that power does not equal volume. For that cab, with a sensitivity as high as 107 dB should have no problem producing the amount of volume that you need.

If you need to be that loud why not come threw the PA, that's what I do on all my larger gigs. I'm using the WT 500 teamed with a Epifani PS 410 and I never turn it up to half. Your amp should just be back line on large gig(Stage sound).

+1 wattage does NOT equal volume, speakers do that. And remember, ANY amp can blow ANY speaker cab, so be careful with the 800.
