Eden Rig Help!

Sign in to disble this ad
In the pursuit of bass nirvana, I am finally one step closer. But I need your help TB!

I am currently running an Eden WP-100 and WT-1000 pre/power setup into the discontinued D410T via a Lakland Bob Glaus. I know this IS NOT an ideal amp/cab setup, but this is as close I've gotten so far with a limited budget. My question is, how would you bass pros setup this rig? I've been running the D410T bridged-mono off the WT-1000, but I've always kept it at lower volumes for fear of damaging such fantastic equipment! But I want to make sure I utilize the equipment in the best (and most importantly safest) way possible at the higher volumes. I'm willing to do what it takes, so let the suggestions fly! In particular I'm looking for cable choice & power impedance suggestions.

WT-1000:
2 x 450 watts @ 4#937;, 1000 watts RMS mono bridged @ 4#937;. Dual 1#8260;4,“ plugs, binding post, NL-4 output connections.

D410T:
Power Handling:540W RMS
Impedance 4-8#937;

Thanks again, and keep rocking!
-John

WP-100 Back

WT-1000 Back (disregard pre-amp on top of it)

D410T Cabinet Back (Really beat up! Why would you do this to your equipment!?)

i'd simply get another D410T and wire it in stereo.. or, bridge it mono with both cabs..

this is a very nice rig..

Ha definitely "first world" problems; I meant no disrespect to the rig! She's a beauty and took me a long time to assemble from fellow TBers. Sometimes I wish she didn't sound so fine so I could get more studying done!

I just feel like the D410t is a little unmatched since uses the 1/4 jacks when the power amp has NL4 connections. Right now I'm using a cable that has a NL4 to 1/4 jack...any other suggestions?

Also - do I need to be worried about damaging the cab running it like this? Or would it be safer to just run it off one side?

Thanks for all responses!

Yes, run it on one side for now, plenty enough power to run that cab as far as it'll go. Eventually, get another matched cab and run stereo. It won't hurt the amp one bit using one side alone. Nice rig.
