Eden Wt 800 help!!

Sign in to disble this ad
Played a gig today and my eden WT800 head with a ampeg 6/10 cab, began to feed back at a high pitch almost like a microphone feeding back....I ended up plugging into a direct box and just getting thru the gig....after the gig I plugged straight into the amp thinking maybe it was the direct box or something and it began to hiss and make this high pitch sound...Then it began clicking and continued to feedback....My cabinet was also lighting up like a christmas tree the sound man said...Any help would be appreciated...

Does the WT800 have preamp tubes? The lights in the cab was probably the current protection lamps doing their thing.
Looks like it has at least one 12AX7 tube, I'd be swapping that tube out and try again.

Get a replacement 12AX7 JJ or Tung Sol and swap it out. Sounds like its gone soft.

Mine was exhibiting some weird front end noises at one point. I ended up re-seating the tube and all has been well for ages.

Eden likes to be criptic but the front panels I have seen say "Twin Triode" that would be one 12AX7.
