I have an E300T, which is the head that came before that one. Regardless of its origin (the same factory that makes Fame), it's a great head - very growly and warm with a tight bottom. That's a sweet price for the Eden.

How long does it stay clean?
I tried to like Mesa 400, and 400+, but did not get enough clean headroom....

I've seen these getting cheaper and cheaper, and wonder if Eden isn't just getting out of them. I'd hate to buy "a dead amp with no support," if ya follow...

I can only speak about the Fame version of that Smarvo head, but for my tastes it's way too clean for bar settings unless the drive circuit is engaged. Tastes vary of course .

Didn't check the exchange rate, byt seems that the price is starting to get roughly in line for what they're (Fame) selling for in Germany. So it's just the case of setteling down to a mere 100% or so profit for Eden.

Since there's schematics available, "a dead amp with no support" is unlikely to happen. Now, if it's Eden support or not, that's another story.

Regards
Sam

i'm always quite partial to the ampeg svt sound. Im very interested to hear how one of these sounds. Unfortunately there aren't any eden dealers where i live. I can't find any videos on youtube where it is actually played either.

I think the $765 number was for the two 2009 units they had left in stock....

Yep, that was the case. Was hoping to turn someone on to these before they were gone...

Seems to me that when amazon has a super price on an item with 2-3 left when they sell em and only have one left instock the price jumps back up. The price also will jump around when its low. Even if you add an item to your cart the price will go up or down while it's in your cart so when its at the amount you are willing to pay just buy it before it goes up. This happened to me last week on a Aggie cab. I had in my cart. I got on livechat with a CSR and was told I was outta luck " its the way it works and the prices are reflective of availible stock" (which didn't change) lol.

P.S. I did search the web for this and it was at $1400.00 from bestbuy and MF !

Eskimo Spy Thank you so much, I jumped on this in the morning. I was looking for an all tube head, but didn't want to spend the extra money. I'm currently using an Eden wt-290 1 x 15 combo with a 2x10 ext. cabinet. Plan on using the new head with just the 2x10. I've heard people talk about the quality issues with Eden, but my current amp sounds great, and hasn't given me any problems over the last 6 years. If I have problems with this I know a good amp guy I can take it too. I'd like to send in a short review, and possibly sound clips ( if I can figure out how ) when it arrives. Thanks again.

Looking forward to it, hope you love the head! Cheers.

That happened to me last week with a Navigator. I got one from Amazon for $365, which is suspiciously close to the amount of the discount off list, making me wonder if someone switched the price and discount amount. Regardless, it was too good to pass up and sounds great!

The moral is to not expect a price to last on Amazon. If you see for a good price and want it, grab it.

I only sold mine (to LiquidMidnight, actually) because I was moving and couldn't justify having a high-wattage tube head in New York. Great unit, and very, very clean.
