Eden WTX 500

Sign in to disble this ad
Just purchased a Eden WTX 500 head for my gigs around town and I have a few questions I hope some of you can help me with....1st off, I used it last night with a 8 ohm cabinet (process of purchasing a 4 ohm cabinet) and when I pulled the mid boost eccentric knob out to engage it made a loud pop (sounded like a paddle hitting a ping pong ball at a high pitch) and it happened every time I pulled it out and did so even when I cut the volume down on the gain knob.....I called Eden and the tech there said that was normal which was a little weird to say the least..He commented I needed to pull it out before I cut the amp on....Thats absurd....I have WT800 I use on my larger gigs that stays on the truck and I haven't had any problems with it except the fan quit working once....2nd..I am looking for a 4 ohm cabinet, any suggestions...Looking at a 2/12 Aguilar or the TC Electronic 2/12 4 ohm in my opinion as far as durability and sound...Thanks ...

the pop only happens if it's boosted when you pull it out, turn the knob to the left and pull before boosting and it won't pop.
