Eden WTX-500 fan constantly on?

Sign in to disble this ad
I was wondering did the fan always come on the moment you would turn it on? Claims it thermostaticly controlled,. Which means to me that when it get hot then the fan comes on?

Or should be contacting EDEN to check it out?

Thanks

It's more usual for a fan to come on at a higher speed then slow down. This overcomes the inertia of the fan blades. Then as the amp heatsinks get hotter the fan speeds up to compensate. Whether this is the case for your particular amp I don't know but all of my fan cooled amps do this.

The fan in my WTX260 is always on, and designed to be that way. I think the WTX500 is similar. The manuals are filled with typos and misinformation, unfortunately.
