EDIT:Never Mind, Won't Work.... Replacing the 4 ohm speakers in my AI cabs with 8 ohm

I love the sound of my acoustic image speakers. However, they are 4 ohms so I can't use two of them with my 4 ohm miniumum heads.

Any recommendations for 8 ohm 10" speakers. I want really high quality.

For those not familiar, these cabs have a downward firing 10" woofer and a 5" speaker along with a tweeter on the front.

They can be set on all four feet, angled back or laid on their side which I often do so the speaker is facing out.

Edit: Ok, electronics are not my strong point. So I just realized that it is all three speakers that make up this 4 ohm system so I may have to replace all of them. I do have an email into Rick at AI so he will let me know. Still interested in any suggestions.........

Your best bet is going to be what AI says.

Also, in addition to swapping all 3 speakers - you will also have to the change the crossover. Seems like too much work & too much expense if you ask me.

Yeah...... You guys are right. After I posted and then talked to another friend I realized the folly.

I will look for other speakers.

Thanks.
