I know it is a newb question but it is my first tube amp. I wanted to make sure it was ok to run a DigiTech BP355 through a Ampeg SVT CL? Thanks :-)

+1 go for it. Plug bass to fx, fx to main input on amp, kick in, and rock out.

Yes...in that order....between the bass and amp.

Do NOT use the DigiTech BP355 between the amp and speaker cab....magic smoke will appear accompanied by an awful smell and the amp will be toast.

Yeah, I know...DUH...but I've seen people make this mistake.

A little advance

Hello to all in the Bass world,

Maybe some of you could clear something up for me?
If I'm using a tube head with a 2x15 cabinet, and I add another 2x15 cabinet does that increase my "db"output? What is the science behind more speakers/ or more output/ or acoustic output?

Yes it will. Increasing speaker surface area/ quanity will have a significant effect on volume. Of course the degree of volume increase depends on speaker efficiency/ cabinet design and lastly amplification wattage.

...also depends on the impedance of the 2 cabs, and how low the amp will allow. If the 2x15 is 4 ohms, (most are), and the amp is only good down to 4 ohms, you cannot add another cab.
