Embarrassed to ask...hooking up RBI to 400rb

Hey,

So yeah....I'm kind of embarrassed to ask this, but:

Just bought a sansamp RBI, and have a power amp coming, but I'm having difficulties hooking up the RBI to my GK 400rb....its the older series II I believe - detachable power cord. I've tried a couple different ways....plus have followed the directions from the pdf instructions I've found online.

Maybe I'm too dense for the Pre-amp thing??

Two methods:

1) Bass --> input of RBI; 1/4" line out of RBI --> instrument input in GK.

2) Bass --> input of RBI; 1/4" line out of RBI --> fx loop RETURN jack on GK.

In both cases, if you get unwanted distortion then turn the output volume of the RBI down a bit.

Turns out I'm smarter than I gave myself credit for....I had a bum cord! I forgot the cardinal rule...check your cords!

Side note - RBI sounds pretty awesome!
