Definitely a strong contender in a non-neo woofer. Needs help north of 2 kHz imo.

I have a home made D12LF+la6-CBMR in 69 liter(netto),75 liter (gross)
Nice and warm sounding cab with clarity due to the mid driver

Yeah, trades uppermids/highs for good lows, a good non-neo choice in a 2way design considering prices as of late. I've considered using a pair with a 6 or two in a build for a friend of mine who needs to lighten his load due to heart bypass, age, etc. Solid output, good extension, dispersion, etc. and could still easily shave 40lbs. off his current eden 410.

Lowend they have, but don't mix it with a 410, it'll cause as many problems as it solves.

Full signal through LF speakers + full signal through middier, not so LF speakers?

You might end up inverting the magnetic poles of the earth.

Hmmm, that's something to think about, basically I'm trying to convert my Aguilar gs212 to 4ohm, and I could buy their woofers for $150 a piece or I can use my connection at eminence to get some for dirt cheap. I just don't know if they make a suitable replacement. I know that they make the woofers for Aguilar, what would be the closest thing?

Not perfect. The 12LF doesn't go any lower than the average 410. It was a better than average low frequency driver when introduced, but that was over a decade ago.

That isn't much of an explanation. Assuming you want a "1 speaker does it all" type of approach the delta12lf may be a poor choice. Paired with some 410 it's not a good idea at all.

My idea is using a pair of them crossed to a mid(s) to take the place of a 410....quite different from adding a full range 212 to a typical 410.

Insufficient data. The best driver to use depends on the design goals, and in the case of a pre-existing cab the cab determines what will work in it.

I was also thinking of building a DIY 2x12 using the Delta-12LFA. I listened to the Avatar B212 (with the Delta 12LFA's), and really like the sound.

I'd probably add a tweeter, similar to what Avatar does.

That leaves an octave wide hole in between where the woofer leaves off and the tweeter starts. All twelves should be paired with midrange drivers, not just tweeters. In most cases a midrange renders the tweeter unnecessary. Commercial cabs use tweeters instead of midranges because that's the cheap way to do it. When you DIY you can do it the right way.

I use two 12LFA sealed with no horn. They sound pretty good. I run one of each channel of a 1804 QSC and they get real loud. I know i am missing some sounds that Fearful can make but... my cab weights nothing (32lbs) compared to a 12/12/6 by fEARful 60ish. Someday I might stick a 6" in there.

If you like the sound if the 2 LF drivers then stick with it. Although its far from ideal in my opinion, I'm assuming they are connected to the amp without a crossover in the circuit which (I think I'm correct in saying this) would result in getting quite a bump in frequency response in the 1-2khz range, and very little above. Plonking a 6" driver in at a later date would not be recommended without a properly designed x-over.

There are a lot of clever people on this forum (I'm not 1 of them) and some have chosen to share their expertise here, some sell there designs, some share designs for free, I would advise more reading and learning to understand what's involved in designing and building a superior bass cab. The truth is out there, good luck with whatever you decide to do
