What is the name of the stand or pad that you put on the Emperor cab to stop the head from moving around when being played?

Unnecessary? It should be. At any rate, the least expensive material is 1/2" thick felt carpet pad. You can usually get smaller pieces for free by dumpster diving at any carpet store that does installation.

Is it? You seem to be looking specifically for Emperor cabs, but no such thing exists to my knowledge.

I mean, I don't see why a foam pad is really needed at all. If you're really experiencing THAT much movement from your head atop your cab, you could A) set the head on the ground or B)get some strips of the material they use on the tops of skateboards and slap that on the top of your cab. I did that with my Plain wood DIY cab, and it sort of worked, but the combined weight and movement of the head, and the cabs vibrations, I actually managed to strip those strips in about two shows.

So the best route? Just set your head on the ground.

If you want to spend a lot of cash it is. It doesn't work any better than a half dozen alternatives that cost less, or even cost nothing.

I'm with Bill. Go grab a scrap of carpet or some thick foam padding. That's all you need. You don't need to buy anything.

yea.....you shouldn't be getting any vibration like this what so ever from your cab.....I'd take a closer look at the build quality of Emperor Cabs.....

I wouldn't go as far as to say it's the cabinet... it is more than likely the position the amp and cabinet were in. sometimes on certain stage floors, it just happens.

it's not a big deal, soft rubber feet for your amp should do the trick.

It is. They're built to guitar cab specs, which is fine for guitar, not quite up to snuff for bass. There are at least two threads already where this is well documented.

The are made oldschool style, for the 'tone', same deal as Gibson headstocks without a scarf joint. Who care's about functions like not snapping off or damaging your amp when you can have stuff made the old way?
