Epifani 310 vs SWR Golight vs ? (deciding tonight)

Sign in to disble this ad
I am really interested in the Epifani UL2-310 partly for size and weight reasons. The 4x10 that comes close is the SWR Golight. Can anyone shed light on how these cabs sound, and how they might be different?

The specs on the 310 seem right up my alley, but I cannot try one locally. (there is not much locally...)

I need a reliable, versatile cab for everything from our 500 seat church, to the occasional cover tunes, to jazz. (amp = carvin bx1500) (basses= 5er, fretless jazz, and UB)

Tonal differences aside, 4 is usually always better than 3.

one other option may be the GK 212 NEO as it is about the size I want and in the 50 lb range. Just trying to get an idea of the tone of these... I'll do some more searches... Let's just say that size matters - I really want to limit the size and weight, but I'm just not sure about the sound. I can't find much on the Epi 310, and I wonder how that would compare to the 212.
