Epifani UL-115c or MarkBass Jeff Berlin?

Ok, I have the opportunity to get either of these for about the same price. That epifani combo is not easy to find info on! I mainly play with a picked P (the pick is not my choice, but the well paying gig requires it) I always turn any horn control to all the way off if there is one, so the lack does not bother me on the Berlin. I currently play an ashdown MAGC410T and love the way the preamp sounds, but the weight is gratuitous, especially given the lower power and lack of casters.

How shapeable is the tone on the epifani? Can it get classic growly P sounds, or is it too "pretty"? And oh, the guy wants $400.

How about the Mark? I know it cost half what the epifani did new, but it is a newer design and technology. He wants $500

I love my Jeff Berlin combo. I don't play with a pick or a P but I am a satisfied owner. Every cab I've before this one had a horn in it and I don't miss those horn at all.

I'd say do what I did and buy a separate Little Mark III head and a Traveler 151P cab. That way you have options. I plan on another 151P cab. The cab weighs only 37.3 lbs. And, you can turn the tweet off.

The head in the Jeff Berlin slides out if you want to take it and use it with different cabs.
