Epifani UL502 as a Preamp to a Vintage Traynor YBA2 Tube amp?

Could I Do this? I want to run into my epifani and use it as a preamp then go from my preamp out to the instrument jack of the YBA2 Traynor (Vintage tube amp not yet grounded.

I am a huge novice when it comes to the amps and any help would be appreciated. Thank u.

Does the Traynor have an FX return on an amp in on the back? That would be a better option than running it into the normal instrument in jack, as that would be using both preamps

Why do you want to do this? It's hard to say whether it's a good or bad idea without knowing what you are trying to accomplish.

I like the tone of the epi and still want tube tone of the traynor. I could hopefully channel switch on the go and bring the epi as a back up if not being used as a preamp.

Let me get this right. You want to use a 300W amp as a pre-amp into a 50W tube amp? I just don't see what's useful in that configuration.

+1 sounds like a bad idea, but it CAN be done IF the tube amp has either an effects RETURN, or poweramp IN jack on the back. Don't patch the preamp into the tube amps main input.
