I think Ive settled on the EPifani UL610 as my cab. Can i get some opinions on people with experience with them? I would be pairing it with a UL501 for a Rock/Pop/Funk Power trio. Ive played one once, but it was years ago, i dont really remember the tone. Any help would be appreciated.

Sometimes I use a UL410 4 ohm plus a UL210 8 ohm—all 6 drivers are identical and similarly enclosed. It is a 2.67 ohm load that just kills for clear clean gorgeous tone. It must be similar, though a bit more tweeter heavy.

Previously, for a head I used a Crest CA6 with a few pre amps, but now use my Mesa Boogie Carbine M9. I am deliriously happy with this rig, as it is obviously THREE different rigs in one (plus I have another epi 210). If I need to go super light, out comes the GB Shuttle 6.0 for use with either the 410, a single 210, or with 2 8 ohm 210s.

Your rig will be big, loud, and gorgeous sounding. It might not be so modular, but heck, it will certainly cover ANY situation—if with considerable overkill for some situations.

I presume you are in a loud band. I found the 610 to be a good fit for a super loud all originals country band I sub with. They are great, but day-UM, the guitarists run big tube heads cranked up into either 2x12 or 4x12 and THEN are miked into the PA!
I find my 610 rig works as a stage monitor and can fly when I have little or no PA support. But honestly, while I love that band, the volume is sometimes oppressive.

Be sure to protect your hearing AT ALL TIMES!

Damn Jim, that must be a killer sounding set up!
What's your main bass with this amp rig?

Were not really too loud, but as a 3 piece, we go pretty hard sometimes, the 410 wasnt enough before, so i figured i should naturally step up to the 610. Im mainly getting it because im getting a killer deal on a brand new one and i figured I can have the 610 for the bigger gigs and use the 310 for all of the local stuff.
