EQ curves Hi, I'm looking for some help... Can anyone tell me how on earth do you get an EQ curve readout from an amp or preamp? ![]() I'm told the above image is from a Dunlop D.I. the M-80, with the color button in. Someone must know how this is done, and Google gives me nothing. Thanks guys. |
"Readout"? Can you elaborate? If you feed pink noise into your rig and then read the results with a spectrum analyzer you would see how the rig is affecting the signal's EQ. Is that what you mean? |
Yeah I guess it is what I mean. So let me get this straight... If I feed pink noise through my amp and then D.I. into my sound card I can use something like Voxengo Span to give me a 'readout' similar to the image in my post above? Thanks for the quick reply. |
yup that is how you di it.. just ensure its pink noise not white.. and hopefully it wont look exactly like that .... that is one serious notch filter and i cannot imagine it sounding musical... a mid scoop should look more like this... ![]() |
Great stuff. Many thanks guys. What a forum ;) |
