Ever See A Nau Bass Amp? Just picked this up, what an awesome ALL TUBE amp! To me it sounds like a pre-CBS Showman with a ton more power. John Nau builds some awesome amps, although he's mostly known for his hot-rod guitar amps. 265 Watts 6X6550 & 12AX7 Hammond Transformers BIG Caps DI & Tuner Out PICS: http://s1137.beta.photobucket.com/us...tml?sort=3&o=0 |
amp Next time we play NY bring the amp and the Vadium! |
Yes I have. He's a local guy (Rochester NY area) . Not only great amps but a good repair tech too, and a great bass player. |
I like the looks of those big Hammond transformers! Dare I ask what he charges to build one of these? |
Don't know but here is his contact info: http://nauengineering.com |
The price all depends on what you want, every amp is built to order as per your specs........ but one like mine should run in the $1800 range. Not cheap but considering it's 100% hand built, as you want it, I think that's reasonable |
I wanted to use one so badly in a local studio but unfortunately it was dead. |
Buy it cheap and have John overhaul it! |
John has been keeping my vintage tube gear running for almost 25 years now! Great guy and he builds amazing amps! |
I like a lot of people have been patiently waiting for the new Mesa tube amps. I know Mesa won't miss me but no reason for one now. I ran a 400+ for a couple of years and this sounds better to my ears. |
Can you get a shot of the inside? |
Someone asked the weight of the amp....... 51#, not too bad. |
