Ever try a lot stuff just to end up where you started?

I bought a AER rig last year when my old EA rig got ripped off. It was doing fine until I gigged with it one day and was disappointed. It seemed to get lost. I tried a few other rigs and thought they'd work. Meanwhile, the AER was collecting dust waiting for a new home.

Went down to the mancave tonight and fired up the AER. Fiddled with a few of the knobs and all of a sudden, there were these glorious tones coming from it that I couldn't get out of the amps I bought as a replacement. So why didn't I find those before?

All I can figure out is that in their infinite wisdom, AER added a lot of controls that I just never mastered. They're a wonderful piece of German engineering, but maybe just a tad over engineered. Onc I figured things out (the manual was of no help), a new world was unlocked.

So now it's time to unload some of this other stuff....

yepper...started with fender and ampeg, then i bagged the fender for a while, then i had a brief non-ampeg period, and then i brought back the fender, and a couple years later i got my ampegs fixed and i'm back on them now.

If I wound up having to play an Ibanez GSR200 through a Peavy 60 watt TNT again, I'd probably take up guitar.

I'd be fine with using a Firebass again, but I wouldn't run the random pile of cabs I was using with it (yay for 2 ohm capability). In fact, I am totally missing the crossover options.
