External speakers...

...hooked up through a line out jack? Is there some sort of electronic gizmo that I could run my combo amp's line out through to safely hook an external speaker up to? Would a DI box work? Like a SansAmp?

I am speaking of a Marshall MB30, specifically...I really like the sound and all the tweaks, and I think with more speakers the volume of this thing would carry pretty well, but there are no speaker out jacks on it...

There might be, but, your amp might not be able to handle the ohm load. If there is'nt a speaker out, then you should probably not do it.

The "electronic gizmo" you would need to put between your combo amp's line out & an additional speaker cabinet is a power amp.

Maybe it's time you upgrade from your practice combo, to a real bass rig. Shop used, look for 300+ watts, think 4x10 minimum. Should be able to get a good rig in the $500 range, used.
