Fame BVH-300L Mods, biasing etc.?

I'm new on the forum, so big hello to everyone.

I just bought Fame BHV-300L head and read through articles on this board, such as:
FAME BVH300
Fame (Smarvo) BVH300 schematics

Some of you may have already seen these, but here are some gutshots:

A few thing still come to my mind, I really like the amp but I wish a bit more distortion from it. Has anyone tried to chance ECC81-tubes to ECC83? From T-Birds schematic (from second thread I linked) I understood the second tube is mainly for EQ, so changing the V1-tube might do the trick. I would like to have the bass-sound a bit dirty and distorted so I could clean it up with my bass' volumepot. Is it OK to change those tubes?

Biasing is still a bit mystery to me. I have biased amps before, but it didn't clear to me, is the point after 1ohm resistor or something? Should I just measure voltage across earth and pin 3 and calculate that from bias-points mA? My bias points showed about 0,084V. What is the right bias current for those tubes? I read already that Thomann said 24mA and T-bird 45mA.

EQ in the preamp is bit different from what I've seen (and heard) before. It really silences the whole amp when I turn knobs to zero. I believe the preamp could be better (and so does Eden. Does anyone know any tricks or mods to the preamp-section? Does anyone have Eden's schema for the preamp? I believe it might not be that difficult to mod.

Thanks!
