fat rig in a little car.... fat rig in a liiiittle caaar

Inspired by the "show us your rigs on stage thread", when I packed all my gear for tonight in my '06 Hyundai Accent... I present to you...

FAT RIG IN A LITTLE CAR

Post pictures in this thread of your rig, packed up in your car. Biggest rig in the smallest space wins?

That's even without a bass or pedalboard in it. Barely even room left for a 6-pack.

Love it. Is there any leg room left up there?

Seats are all the way back, as much leg room as you can normally have (not that much, it's a tiny car)

Front seats are blissfully unaffected, but the cab stretches from the very edge of the trunk to the backs of the seats--wedged in there nicely

I don't have this car anymore but this is my flatback 8x10 cab in the backseat of my Chevy Aveo (aka daewoo kalos/gentra, holden barina, pontiac G3/wave, suzuki swift, chevy sonic). Tiny little **** box of a car. The engine blew 800 miles before the warranty expired, fuel line went shortly thereafter, and the clutch was starting to give out by the time I traded it in at a little over 90K miles. That said, the interior was like a bubble and you could fit a ton of gear in there. With the 8x10 like this, I would slide two basses in hard cases in front of it, and put my V4 in a road case in the trunk along with my pedal board. And I'd still have room for a passenger!

Back in the eighties, my drummer (a small guy) and I used to fit his double-kick drum kit, a rack of roto-toms (ahhh... the eighties!), a Traynor 115, a P-bass in a hardshell and a Yamaha bass head plus him and myself in his '82 Tercel. Looking back, I wish we had taken pictures. It was like Tercel Tetris.

God I wish my car had 4 doors, it would make the backseat so much more useful

I regularly fit a sunn 2x15 into the back of my ford escort, got it down to a science.

I'll snap pic next time I squeeze it in there.

Toyota Tercels, those things have Buick sized trunks.

The drummer for my cover band got rid of his durango for a prius so every gig with them is like tetris packing all of the drums and PA gear from his house into the prius and our sound guy's jetta. Takes some serious spacial planning.

In my (now stolen) Camry wagon I would fit, Mesa 15", Mesa bass 400, Traynor YGL3 MKII, Moog MG1, Roland SH09, Musicman Sterling (in case), pedal board, drum machine, Doepfer dark energy, x0xbox and a whole lot of etc.
The Subaru wagon fits all this and has heated seats.

Holy smokes am I impressed by some of your packing abilities.

I couldn't even get a 4x10 let alone my 6x10 in my old car (2 door Olds Alero) in fact I could only put my bass case on the back seat, it wouldn't fit in the trunk, big old 6er. Now I drive a soccer mom SUV so I can haul whatever I need to really.

I used to pack an Acoustic 301 cab, 370 head, Gibson RD Artist (almost as heavy as the cab!) and a toolbox in my 77 Scirocco. Alas, all the above are gone now...
