Now that my "real gear" stays at the rehearsal space I practice 99% through my computer using GarageBand. Definitely a fun way to practice and has some advantages nothing else really does, but it also comes with some limitations. Sometimes I just want to do the good ol' room combo amp thing.
For those experienced in this area or also interested what are some of the amps you have found to be reliable and worth their price tag? I'm looking at anything under $200 really. I'm sure the used market has got to be pretty good for this stuff too.
Some of the stuff that's caught my eye already are the Fender Rumble 15 V2, Peavey Max 158, and... well as far as new gear goes that's it. Any better ideas? |

1x10, 1x12, and 1x15 practice amps come up on CL for less than $200 all. the. time.
I got my Gibson b45s 1x12 combo for $40. It doesn't sound GREAT, but perfect for home use.

You can find them on Craigslist pretty easily for about $75 (grabbed mine for $50), but even at $150 new, they're a great little amp that does NOT sound like a 'little amp' at all!!!

This thread has sparked my interest in the b20 though... |
