fEARful 15.6.1 / 12.6.1 Stack (regular or cube)

I was at Ron Anchak's shop (fEARful authorized builder), tested out a 15/6/1 and have ordered one. I am also going to order a 12/6/1 with a reverse baffle so I can use together if need be.

The use case for the above is the following:
1) 12/6/1 for small to medium needs
2) 15/6/1 for medium to larger needs
3) 15/6/1 + 12/6/1 combined for larger louder needs

90% of the time I will use either the 12/6 or the 15/6 alone. Maybe 10% of the time I can *maybe* see using both together.

I have seen pictures of the Tom Bowlus config (illustrated below on the left). I see that the 12/6 cube fits on top of the 15/6 nicely.

My question is, other than aesthetics, can one use a regular 12/6 on top of the 15/6 (Illustrated below on the Right)? I know they wont lock together so can put feet on both the bottom and top of the 12/6 so when put on top of the 15/6 it will not wobble or anything.

I will be using a TC Electronics RH750 so wont have to worry about the amp not fitting on the smaller profile of the regular 12/6 cabinet.

Why do I want the regular 12/6 instead of the 12/6 cube? Because most of the time the 12/6 will be by itself and I like the look of the regular 12/6 better than the 12/6 cube.

That being said I think aesthetically the 12/6 cube on top of the 15/6 would look better than the regular 12/6 on top of the 15/6, but that is something that will happen only a small amount of time and it really wouldn't bother me that much.

If I ended up using an amp with a larger profile, I guess it would just hang off the edge each side of the regular 12/6 by and inch or inch-and-a-half. Again wouldn't bother me as I would rarely be using the stack.

If there is something that will affect the sound please let me know. I don't think it will, looks like things line up in the pic. Also checked at Ron Anchak's shop, looks like a 12/6 regular and the 15/6 drivers line up correctly.

I don't think it would be a problem with the drivers aligned like the picture with the nornal 12/6. I'm not a real fEARful techy guy though. (But I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express once) I think you will be suprised with the volume a 12/6 puts out by itself. Most people do the 12/6 cube so the boxes line up better. But since most of the time you will be using the 15/6 or 12/6 by themselves I would do a standard 12/6. For small to med gigs the 12/6 is a easy one hand carry. I just put one strap across the top of the cab. Mine weighs around 39lbs and kicks ass. I played through the TC 450 and it was really loud but the amp was distorting before the speaker cab was. With the TC 750 and those two cab you will be set for anything.
