KK.

I'm gettin ready to build my 12/12/6 and I see the Art of Noise site and then see a thread about using composite fglass/foam panels for the cab.

I have lotsa experience with this as well as woodworking so either way is fine with me.

What I want to know is...which is better sonically/structurally?
I know which one will be lighter( lighter is better)

Has anyone heard the AoN cabs?

Input please?

I have an AoN fEARful 15/6 and I love the tone, design and weight, but honestly knowing what I know now I would have went with Italian Poplar with perhaps a little extra bracing. The I. Poplar will be very close in weight. There is a guy in the fEARful megathread pt 13 who built his cab of IP and actually got it down to 35LBS... my fibreglass version is 39LBS. The main reason I would go with wood is because I had alot of problems with the screws coming loose, especially from the driver. The result was that the cab sounded distorted. I *think* I have it all sorted out now. If it continues to give me problems I might just have a local woodworker build me a new cab of IP and swap my components over.

BTW you would likely get more and great quality answers either in the fEARful megathread or the fEARful forum: fEARful
