To my knowledge, the frequency responses of all the fEARful cabinets are designed to be as flat as possible, the primary difference between them being maximum achievable volume.

And no, you won't blow the 3015LF (or the 3012LFs for that matter) with 450 W.

Frequency response between the two are very similar.. They WILL do a B string justice, it was one of the design goals... The main difference between the two, the 1212/6/1 will be about 6dB louder w/the same input..

The Kappalites are very unique drivers as such their thermal and mechanical limits are very close.. These will take the rated power and perform without the fartout experienced by lesser drivers.. They are also quite efficient, meaning methinks you won't need a full 450W to create the SPL you're probably looking for.. Its what makes the fEARful the phenomenon it is...

If you haven't blown a storebought cab at your gigs, you sure as hell aren't going to blow a fEARful. Not that they're completely indestructable but if you get to that point, you'll be deaf anyway.

One downside is they have so much excursion compared to thermal power handling there isn't much, if any warning between fart out and failure but again, if you get to that point........if you're playing stadiums or something, get two of them.

The 450watt rating of the Kappalites is the CONTINUOUS rating. They are rated at 900w music/program (such as what you usually generate with bass) and even higher peak (burst, not sustained)

450 is very conservative.

As with most things, there are a few items of small print. Your amp has a gain control. Your bass (if active) has a gain control. If you crank both those and crank your amp's volume control, you can clip and produce excessive HF 'noise' which can blow the midrange or tweeter (this is not unique to fEARfuls, but to all cabinets) which is simply not designed for this. Use common sense (and your ears) and your cabinet will keep you grinning for many years

Already answered in your other thread, including a response from Duke LeJeune, a noted speaker designer. The 15 isn't noticeably "bassier" than the 1212, or vice versa.

As Duke pointed out, the 1212 plays louder, but not by very much down at the bottom of it's range.

The cool thing is, that these cabs can handle so much power, that you can throw more bass boost at them via EQ, without blowing them up
