The sensitivity of the ceramic LFA and neo LF are a little on the low side around 94/95 dB so they do work rather well but are power hungry.
Both speakers are muddy and would not work for some depending on your needs for highend as fullrange.
So your still going to need a good single 6.5 or 2 lower cost 6.5inch speakers to get the highend you need, and still be able to design a crossover that would work.
You could still get a light cabinet and save some Bucks using a lower cost Neo.
The
Basslite S2012 hits around 96/97 dB and as a pair would have more sensitivity and get you to the same place with lower power.
The S2012 has good highend so you could just run a pair fullrange, and call it a day.
blah blah blah commence bashing and nearful screaming.......... .................................................. .....................now!
Otherwise on another note Eminence released a new series to the Pro series the
Impero
New 12 , 15 , 18.... heavy, high excursion, low sensitivity and power hungry. Perfect for the power hungry modern designer.
the 12 is 6mm xmax and the 15 is 7mm.
