It is a fun puzzle. Arguably the best form factor out there. Nice balance for the schlep, looks good under a rack bagged head and is able to be run very hard with out worry.
After living with the 12/6 cube together with a Thunderfunk for two years, I'm GAS free.

Are they pro-build only? |

They are built by the authorized builders listed here: http://greenboy.us/
Good luck in your search, lots of info about them on the greenboy forum.

I figured they were authorized builds only. I'm pretty sure I won't do the DIY project anyway, as I have very little free time. Too bad there are no builders in the Pacific NW region. |

Builders refer people to other builders, people with cabinets offer them up for other people to try out, information is freely given. If nothing else, it's a very cool way to operate. |

| | The "G" is for Gustav | | Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Maryland | | | 15/6/1 video Frank was up here again today to pick up his preamp from the latest round of mods, and he brought back his 15/6/1 again to test out - the initial woofer was just replaced by Eminence due to a manufacturer's defect. This one sounded much better, but it appears that there is yet another issue with the replacement. Hopefully Eminence isn't slacking in their QC. Regardless, the cab sounded very, very good and I got the opportunity to crank it up more and really test out its low end capability. I had a blast playing with the bass cranked way up and slamming cords all over the neck - everything stays very clear and articulate like a massive piano. Also got some great old school sounds dialing the treble back a notch and cranking the low and high mids. The video didn't really capture the massiveness but it might give a general idea. http://youtu.be/hi1-vtGPIRY Frank, I just noticed that I kept calling you Ken in the video - sorry!
Also took a sweep of the impedance curve just for fun.
