Great meeting, you (briefly!), and I'm so happy you are enjoying your cab. I'm so sold on greenboy's designs, it makes them very easy to promote. Personally, I've never been happier than I am with these cabs |

| | | | Vb and Fb of DIY fEARUL cabinets? Hello,
As these are posted DIY projects I don't think this is proprietary information. I've looked and looked but it doesn't seem as if they have been posted. Has anyone worked the internal volume and port tuning numbers out? I'd like to be able to model them in winISD.
Thanks. |

Thanks. | Plans!
You can calculate all the internal volume and port size from these.

I just purchased a 12/6 12 sub from a fellow TBer - lovin' them so far.
The cabs don't have any badges. Are they available? Easy to install? Problems with rattling/buzzing? Not a necessary addition but kinda cool - and I'd like to "show the flag" for this great product.
Thanks in advance for your help. |

i think its worth mentioning that my bands PA used to consist of a pair of Martin Audio blackline 18 subs, these are loaded with 750 watt 18" drivers and are considered as pretty damn good PA subwoofers... but very heavy and awkward for a mobile rig, the fearful 15 subs have been performing just as well IMO, in some ways better, and or course they are a bit easier to carry

Guitar is thinking powered RCF$, I'm thinking two fearful 15subs. What's the weight for one of those? What is your crossover point? I think I'd do it sans crossover - save a couple bucks and a pound or two. A 15sub flatpack cost seems very reasonable. |

Most times my 12/6 will do me fine and my band can use the 15/sub for PA. I've never compared but I KNOW it will crush the Mackie powered sub we have used in the past.
And when I need to really crank some bass volume 12/6 on top of the 15/sub will do just fine........

This cab is an engineering wonder for bass guitar. I did not want for any more clean, warm, fat and round tones. This cab can make any tone. It was the very first time I used a compact bass head with this cab - wow they pair up very well. This cab was just right for our 4 hour Reggae show.

Both cabs would be 8ohms, but the 12sub can't take as much SPL as the 15/6/1...you'd want to be careful there.
All that to say, it does work | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
