While I agree it's best to try them if you can, good luck finding all three in a music store
My answer would be pretty obvious even though I've played none of them except an old V4B
but whatever amp you get, I congratulate you on making the tube move. While there are some definite size and wattage advantages to SS, a good tube amp running clean just sounds so awesome and big and uncompressed by comparison.
I think any of them will get you great sound. But depending on your volume levels, you might actually appreciate having a 300w tube amp, even though it weighs considerably more. Don't get me wrong...100w is not quiet by any means, especially if your cab is on the larger side. But you do have considerably more headroom in a 300w amp. It's kind of one of those "You have to be there" questions that only you can answer. I had a V4B for years when I was starting out and played in some pretty loud bands and didn't run out of headroom to play clean. For some folks, it might not be enough. The SVT (or another 300w tube amp if you absolutely have to
) is the sure thing for loud clean, but if you're not trying to vibrate spleens, 100w into a medium cab can still get plenty of bass going in a room.
