Fender B-300 value?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all,

First off, I've been stalking TB for a while and only recently joined. After reading up on amps here, i just snagged a GK 700RB 15" combo for $250. Yeah!

Now I'm looking to sell an old Fender head I have sitting around. It's a 1980 B-300, and I got it for $200 a couple years ago in solid working condition, pretty average cosmetically. I have suspicions that it could be worth a good bit more than that, but I've found almost zero information on how much this thing goes for today. Here's a link to the only info I've found:

http://books.google.com/books?id=kO8...page&q&f=false

Anybody have any further knowledge on how valuable these are? The high price tag in 1980 is one thing, but I've never seen one sold recently or really read any opinions on the amp in general. Any help greatly appreciated!

It might have some value to a collector, but unless it was highly regarded in it's day I wouldn't count on getting a whole lot of $ for it. The fact that you can't find much information about it should tell you something. Rare does not always equal valuable unfortunately.
