First performance issue - make sure the Bassman head is
not in need of tubes, caps etc. to prevent maximun output. I'm not familiar with the Peavey cab you reference, but, as always, sound and volume are perceptions that differ from one player to another and is subjective. There are those that will tell you not to expect much and those that will tell you that they have gigged with it against other guitars in rock bands and it was exactly what they wanted. This is a time when the "search" function is your friend. I believe that you'll find a good amount of discussion of this very thing.
