I just got one last night and I love it. Does anyone else here have one, or at least used one for sometime? If so what were your feelings on it. Please post any thoughts on it.

I had one, bought it super cheap on eBay, great sounding amp. Very versatile eq and loud as hell!

Fender amps don't get much love currently here on TB. Evidently the perception is that nearly everything since the original Bassman and derivatives has been bad.

I use an old BXR200, which still sounds fine for smaller venues. I have heard good things elsewhere about the 250/210 and 250/115, other than complaints about Fender's pricing.

Enjoy your amp.

I have a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 and a Genz Benz Neox 212t, but I leave my Fender Bassman 250/115 at our rehearsal place and gig with it a lot as well. Its a good amp, loud enough on its own for small venues, with a decent DI etc. My son plays in an active metal band and their bass player uses a 250/115 through a sound board. Its great. I hate those fricken casters, so I took them off, that's my only complaint.

Don't let anyone tell you that its "bad". It isn't. I'd call it a good solid amp.

I like the Fender Bassman combos. I had the Bassman 100 and 150; I wanted the 250/115 but never got there. I've owned three Bassman 25 combos (still have one) and it's my favorite at home practice amp. Sounds really nice through headphones too.

I've got a 250/115. It's the only combo I've owned since a very old Peavy that holds up at a gig. It's freaking loud, versatile, and sounds awesome. I't wicked compact and light too. A lot easier to move around than some Neos I've had.

I've had lots and lots of combos, had combos with lots more wattage, combos that cost lots more... and they all rattled or farted when I cranked them enough to keep up in a club.

I'm currently using a Bergantino NV610 with a Carvin BX500. Whenever I don't feel like lugging that around I use the Fender. It's never let me down. I believe it's the most underrated amp on talkbass. Or maybe actually just the most under'bought'. Just about everyone who has one gives it praise.

I have one which I use for rehearsals, it is just a great little combo, very loud comparatively speaking and it offers a wide variety of good tones, I give it a 10.

I am glad you guys spoke up b/c I have been looking at one of these for a while.
I agree Fender is a great amp, but expensive. I guess that is what is holding me back. Butlook in the want ads, or on Craig's List, and guess what - you almost NEVER see Fender for sale.
